Q) I’ve heard a great deal about going Paleo. What is it?

A) Paleo is a healthy way to eat because it is a nutritional approach that is aligned with your genetics to help you stay lean, strong, and energetic! Research indicates that our modern diet is associated with degenerative diseases, such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression, and infertility. By following a Paleo lifestyle, you allow your body to work at its fullest potential and limit the strains and stresses that lead to illness and disease. Doesn’t a life of whole, natural foods and limited toxins and pesticides make sense?


Q) Who can follow the Paleo lifestyle? Who would benefit from it?

A) From the super healthy and fit to those who struggle with a life-changing disease (and everyone in between), anyone can benefit from this nutritional lifestyle. Why? Because it is geared to our genetics! It is the way we were meant to live. Recognizing Paleo as a lifestyle change rather than just another crash diet prepares your mind for this life-altering transition. Being in the right mindframe is essential for many aspects of life, including health!

Like many others, this diet is best received when you begin with small changes. Generally, when you speak about the Paleo lifestyle, people identify by saying that they follow this diet a certain percentage of the time. For example, someone just starting the diet may follow this lifestyle 20% of the time. For example, if you eat three meals and one snack per day, you eat 28 meals a week. 20% of your meals would be 5.6 meals
